Get ready to crank that as internet rap pioneer and hip-hop legend
Soulja Boy takes over
LIV Nightclub on Friday, September 11, 2026. The man who changed the game forever by uploading his music online before anyone else thought to do it, Soulja Boy brings his iconic catalog of viral anthems, his fresh 2026 album
Drip, and the electric energy of one of hip-hop's most innovative and enduring figures to the legendary
Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
From a seven-week Billboard Hot 100 number-one that swept the nation and launched a thousand dances, to nearly two decades of nonstop music and a cultural footprint that artists from Sexyy Red to GloRilla still tap into today, Soulja Boy has proven that true originality never goes out of style. Miami fans can expect a night packed with his biggest records, fresh material, and the uncontainable energy of the man who set the tone since day one.
About Soulja Boy
Born DeAndre Cortez Way on July 28, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and Batesville, Mississippi,
Soulja Boy became one of the first artists to leverage the internet as a primary vehicle for music distribution, uploading his tracks to SoundClick, YouTube, and MySpace at a time when the music industry had barely noticed those platforms existed. His 2007 self-released debut single
Crank That (Soulja Boy) exploded online before catching the attention of Collipark Music and Interscope Records, who gave it a commercial release and watched it shoot to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, where it remained for seven non-consecutive weeks. The song earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song and the accompanying dance became a national phenomenon, with everyone from Beyoncé to SpongeBob SquarePants getting in on the move. His debut album
Souljaboytellem.com (2007) peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and his follow-up
iSouljaBoyTellem (2008) produced the top-twenty Hot 100 hits
Turn My Swag On and
Kiss Me Thru the Phone featuring Sammie. After a three-album run with Interscope, he returned underground and became one of rap's most prolific independent artists, releasing numerous projects annually through his own SODMG imprint and racking up collaborations with Migos, Nicki Minaj, the Game, Lil Wayne, and DJ Khaled along the way. His 2021 single
She Make It Clap reached number 23 on Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and tens of millions of streams, while his 2025 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards appearance confirmed his continued standing in the industry. His 2026 album
Drip, a 13-track project he described as "just another level," was accompanied by The Drip Tour alongside Lil Xan and continued a legacy that remains one of hip-hop's most singular and influential stories. As Latto's recent flip of
Yahhh! and the continued sampling of his catalog remind us, Soulja Boy was never ahead of his time. He was right on time, every time.
